Happy Halloween!

Well, as October comes to a close, so does another Halloween.  This year, my boys were excited about it.  They enjoyed helping to decorate the house.  They counted down to the day that they could wear their new costumes and go trick or treating.  It was so much fun to watch them enjoying it!

We had a busy weekend.  Football game on Friday, Adult Costume Party on Saturday, and Halloween on Sunday.  I leave you with some pictures of my scary sons!  =)

New and Exciting Things...

Well, the first six weeks is over, and we have all survived!  =)  RJ is doing extremely well in school.  His TPRI scores and classroom assessments over Social Studies, ELA, Math, and Science, are great!  He read his first book by himself this week!  We made a big deal about it, of course!!!  He also got Perfect Attendance for the 1st six weeks!!  He received a ribbon at school for this.  He was proud of himself.  Last week was Fire Safety Week.  He learned about "stop, drop, and roll" and fire drills.  The Bay City FD brought a fire truck to their school and took the Kindergarteners for a ride!

About Trevor - He is learning a lot more each and every day, including testing his parents' patience!  =)  His daycare will have a parade this week to celebrate the Bay City Lion's Club's Rice Festival. I have taken off the morning so that I can attend the parade!

Until next time.....

October is Here Already

It's hard to believe how quickly time flies.  It seems like just yesterday, we were beginning a new school year.  Now, here we are preparing for the 2nd six weeks already!

On Tuesday, October 5th, RJ will receive his very first report card!  I have a conference scheduled with Mrs. Brown in order for her to explain it to us.

We are halfway through football season.  5 games down, and 5 more to go (then maybe some more).

The boys are growing taller, stronger, and smarter every day.  I can't get over how much they soak in, just like a sponge.  They make me proud!

Well, here's to another great weekend and week.  Until next time.....

Catching Up

So, once again, I've slacked in my blogging.  I don't understand how some people can do it daily.  Their lives must not be as busy as mine, or they must never sleep.  =)

Summer has gone.  School has begun again.  We are settling into Bay City.  R.J. has begun Kindergarten, and Trevor is attending a new daycare.  I did not get an administrative position, so I am teaching Math Models and Algebra I.  Robert is teaching PE and Health.

Here are some pics from the First Day of School and Football games.

Until Next Time...

Bay City Blackcats!!

I have been really bad about blogging. So much has happened since my last post in February.

We now live in Bay City, Texas, home of the Blackcats! Robert got a job coaching Varsity O-line and teaching PE. I am hoping to get an administrative position in the district. For now, I will be teaching math at BCHS in the fall.

The boys are loving it here. We have a HUGE backyard!

I hope that I am better at blogging now that it's summer time.

We went to South Padre Island for vacation. It was wonderful! We camped at the local KOA campground, swam in their pool, played at the beach, visited Schlitterbahn, and rode on the Black Dragon pirate ship. Now that we are back from our vacation, Hurricane Alex has hit south of SPI. There was some flooding there. Glad we went when we did!

Until next time....

Doctors, Hospitals, Accidents...oh my!

It has been a while since I last posted. Things have been pretty crazy around here. Where to start?

Trevor -
  • January 28th - Fell on his "king car" at daycare and had to get 4 stitches in his head above his left eye
  • February 4th - Fell in the gym at daycare and hit his mouth...busted his lip open
  • February 11th - Got scratched by another kid at daycare

Needless to say, I was hesitant to send him this past Thursday! :) We have gone back to the ENT to have his ears checked. We felt that his equilibrium was off. We are having to give ear drops and he will go back over spring break for another check of the ears.

RJ -

  • Is signed up to play baseball again this year
  • His team is the Diamondbacks
  • Has been really good at school!!!

Until next time....

A whole new world....

I feel as if I'm in a whole new world. Things have become so different lately at work. For good? For bad? I'm not sure. Just different. When I figure it out, I will let you know! :)

RJ is starting to learn how to read...slowly but surely...one phonetic sound at a time...sight words...etc.

Trevor is still doing his thing...following RJ around...being a momma's boy...being a daddy's boy...you name it...

Bad About Blogging

Life has been so crazy around here. Robert is coaching basketball. I am trying to be a good wife and attend some of his games. I have to go to some of my own school's games with the cheerleaders. I have to be a mother to my 2 wonderful children, etc. You get the picture! :) But I wouldn't trade any of it.

A few accomplishments:

*Trevor has gone from saying R.A. to R.J.
*RJ is going to be signed up to play baseball again tomorrow morning.
*RJ has had a great 2 weeks back to school. His behavior has improved like crazy.
*Trevor got moved up to the younger 2's class at school.
*RJ can't wait to start Kindergarten.
*Trevor is getting easier and easier to understand when he's talking.

This past week, all 3 boys had a horrible stomach virus. Thank goodness I didn't catch it!!

Hopefully I'll be back soon with another update. But for now, I'm going to enjoy our 3 day weekend!

A New Year

Welcome 2010!

We had a fabulous Christmas! Robert and I were so excited to watch the excitement on the boys' faces as they opened their presents that we got them and the ones that Santa brought. RJ is at such a fun age, and actually understands the concept of Santa. Trevor doesn't really understand that part, but he does know how to open presents! :)

In the days/weeks/months to come, I will be organizing all of my pictures. I got a digital camera picture frame from my parents. I haven't set it up yet, b/c I want all of my pictures organized. So, eventually I will be posting some pictures...old and new! :)

Have a wonderful 2010!!!!
