Good News!

So, the doctor's office called back, and RJ's results from his test are GREAT!! The spot that they removed is simply just a mole. Praise the Lord!!! What a relief.

This week, Trevor had to be tested for allergies. They put 24 pricks on him, in 3 sets of 8. None of them reacted. So, he is not allergic to pet dander, trees, pollen, etc. So, what's making him sick all of the time?!?! Who knows. The doctor wasn't that concerned with it. So why should we be? =)

Tonight, RJ gets his trophy at closing ceremonies. He had a great time playing ball this year!!!

Tomorrow night is the DayCare End Of Year Program. Trevor is going to be a Backyardigan Pirate, and RJ is going to be a farmer. I'll post pictures this weekend.

Next week, RJ starts swimming lessons!!! WOOHOO!!

So, for now, here is a picture from Memorial Day. Thank you to the men and women who have fought and are fighting for our freedom.

Follow Up

So, RJ's surgery went well. He went with the doctors and I had to beg for a kiss. They took him back at 7:30. The doctor came out at 8 and told me that everything went well. Praise the Lord! I couldn't go see him until he was a little more awake. At 8:15, they called me to the recovery room. He was sitting up in the bed talking to the nurse. It was the same nurse that was in the recovery room a few weeks ago when Trevor had his tubes. She is so good with them! We came home and RJ didn't want to rest. He played like nothing had happened to him. The doctor had said that he could return to school on Tuesday, so I was excited about that.

Speed Bump: Tuesday, RJ woke up vomiting and with fever. UGH! Luckily, my dad was available to come and watch him until Robert could get home. We went ahead and kept him home on Wednesday as well. He returned back on Thursday, and had a wonderful rest of the week! Thank you for all of your prayers for him.

Trevor stayed home on Monday still feeling ill from his tonsillitis. But by Monday evening, he's was in rare form! :) He went back to school on Tuesday.

Until next time!

RJ's surgery

RJ's surgery is happening tomorrow morning. We have to arrive at Texas Children's Hospital at 6 am. He is the first "case" and should be taken back at 7:30 am. The last time we spoke with the plastic surgeon, he mentioned that this is only a 5 minute surgery. I pray so!! There's no worse feeling than having a doctor take your child out of your arms, and the next time you see them, they are trying to wake up out of the anesthesia. I've done it twice, once with both children, and hopefully, tomorrow will be the last time. I know that this is all in God's hands. I claim that we caught this before it had a chance to turn into something worse. I just don't look forward to the recovery. RJ is going to have to miss one of his baseball games, and is going to be out of school for a few days.

Trevor on the other hand, spiked a horrible fever on Friday afternoon. I called his doctor and due to the pandemic of the swine flu, she wanted him to be seen right away. So, we took him to urgent care. The doctor there says that he has tonsillitis, and gave him amoxicillin. On Saturday, he broke out in a rash. I called his doctor again, we should be getting close to being on a first name basis by now. We stopped the amoxicillin, and are now giving benadryl. So, he'll be staying home tomorrow as well!

Please pray for my boys as they endure this tomorrow. And pray for their mom and dad!!
